Ordering Dahlias

READ FIRST BEFORE ORDERING

Each item is one dahlia tuber (not a tuber clump). We have labeled, hand divided, and selected each dahlia to ensure it meets our quality standard. We guarantee each dahlia has at least one viable eye and is true to name.

Shipping

All dahlia tubers will ship in the spring once danger of frost has passed to ensure tubers do not freeze during transit. Although we can’t guarantee a specific date, this is usually around mid April.

If you have selected ‘farm pickup’ at checkout, you may pick up your tubers on Saturday, May 6 at our farm in Waterford, ME.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee each tuber you receive will have a visible eye (growing point) and is true to name. Keep in mind the eye may not be visible when you receive it.

Receiving your Tubers

Open your package immediately upon arrival. Tubers will arrive packed in peat moss to ensure they don’t dry out and shrivel.  We recommend keeping them in their packaging until you are ready to plant. DO NOT LET TUBERS FREEZE. Store tubers in a cool basement (45-50 degrees) until 1-2 weeks before planting and then move them to a dark warm environment (a kitchen cupboard works great) to let eyes develop and give them a jump start.

Planting

See our Dahlia Growing Guide.

Returns & Refunds

If after receiving your tuber there is no visible eye after 60 days you may contact us for a refund. We are not liable for tubers that do not perform or grow well because of poor growing conditions, soil issues, over or under watering, pest or insect damage, or freezing (after they arrive to you).
